Gusty winds could make for hazardous driving

SAN DIEGO - A National Weather Service advisory for winds gusting up to about 50 mph in San Diego County desert areas Tuesday could make for hazardous big rig driving.

The wind advisory takes effect at 2 p.m. and is scheduled to expire at 3 a.m. Wednesday, covering Borrego Springs and Ocotillo Wells, along Borrego Springs Road and state Route 78, east of the Vallecito Mountains and along Highway S2 from south of Shelter Valley to the San Diego-Imperial County line
