VALLEY CENTER, Calif. - Authorities Wednesday identified a 50-year-old Valley Center man fatally injured in a rollover crash over the weekend.
Arthur Resendez Halog veered his southbound Nissan Hardbody pickup truck off Rincon Ranch Road near Valley Center. The truck struck several large boulders then overturned shortly after 8:30 p.m. Sunday, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
Halog was ejected and thrown into a yard at 17980 Rincon Ranch Road, the Medical Examiner's Office reported.
Returning homeowners at a residence on Rincon Ranch Road heard the man moaning, then found him lying under a tree, CHP Officer Eric Newbury said. His overturned vehicle was found nearby.
The residents called for help. A helicopter was dispatched, but Halog died before he could be taken to a hospital, the Medical Examiner's Office reported.
