Multi-vehicle crash on SR-163 in Mission Valley snarls traffic

SAN DIEGO - A multi-vehicle crash on northbound state Route 163 near the Friars Road on-ramp blocked three or four lanes, snarled freeway traffic and caused the California Highway Patrol to issue a SigAlert during the noon hour on Saturday.
A local TV station reported that officials confirmed at least one person had been transported to the hospital with unknown injuries after the noon crash.
The scene of the crash was being cleared by 1 p.m.
No other details were available.
