SAN DIEGO - A motorcyclist was taken into custody Wednesday evening after allegedly leading authorities on a high-speed pursuit in the Rancho Bernardo area.
The pursuit began on northbound Interstate 15 at Camino Del Norte shortly before 5:40 p.m., according to authorities.
Dispatchers said the motorcyclist was traveling more than 90 mph and did not stop for California Highway Patrol officers.
The motorcyclist exited onto Rancho Bernardo Road, struck a curb and then crashed into another car.
Following the wreck, officers detained the motorcyclist.
No other injuries were reported.
CHP officials told 10News the motorcyclist, 22-year-old Kyle Garrett, apparently kept going because he did not have a license and was carrying brass knuckles.
