Authorities released the name of a 43-year-old man killed in a late-night motorcycle crash on Interstate 805 in the Webster area.

Matthew Maroon of San Diego was riding to the south when he rear-ended a vehicle whose driver was slowing to avoid a disabled car at about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to the county Medical Examiner's Office.Maroon was thrown onto the roadway, where an oncoming vehicle struck him.
