SAN DIEGO - A motorcycle crash that injured one person in Mission Valley also shut down  east Friars Road at Northside Drive Friday morning.

The incident was reported at 8:45 a.m.

Police told 10News that the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Friars Road and might have blown a red light. The rider hit a van  trying to make a left turn at the intersection.

The rider was thrown from his motorcycle and may have suffered a broken wrist.

As of 9:45 a.m., east Friars Road  is shut down between Fenton Parkway and Northside Drive.
