RAMONA, Calif. (KGTV) -- A one-year-old boy missing since July from the Phoenix area was found safe in Ramona. Three people are now facing criminal charges in the baby’s disappearance, including the boy’s mother.

William Gouchenour went missing along with his mother, Madeline  Jones, 19, of Mesa, Arizona, one day after a judge awarded her to share custody with the baby’s father, Jake Gouchenour, he told 10News.

“My parenting time started June 14 and just the very next day his mom, my ex-wife, took off with him, and they’ve been missing for the past three-and-a-half months until yesterday,” Jake Gouchenour said.

Madeline Jones is being held as a fugitive in Las Colinas Detention Facility in Santee with no bail, as she awaits extradition back to Arizona to face charges of custodial interference.

“It’s just been awful for the three-and-a-half months, not knowing if he’s all right. It’s a horrible feeling, not knowing if your child is ok, not knowing if they’re safe,” Jake Gouchenour said.

Last week, police arrested Madeline’s parents, Cassandra and Robert Jones, at the Phoenix airport as they were about to board a plane to Texas, police said.

“All of The evidence suggests her family has been involved. Her parents were arrested last week for this whole scene, for conspiring and custodial interference,” Jake Gouchenour said.

Now, dad has full, permanent custody.
