Mira Mesa lovers' quarrel ends in stab wounds

SAN DIEGO - A lovers' quarrel in Mira Mesa sent both parties to the hospital with stab wounds to their torsos early Friday, police said.

A man and a woman, both in their late 20s, got into an argument that led to a physical confrontation in the 9900 block of Reagan Road around midnight, according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford.

Both were taken to a local trauma center to be treated for stab wounds to their upper torsos, Stafford said, adding that neither sustained any life-threatening injuries.

The SDPD's Domestic Violence Unit was investigating to determine whether either party might face charges.
