'Young eagle' takes flight at MCAS Miramar

MIRAMAR, Calif. (KGTV) - A lucky San Diegan was given the ride of a lifetime in the skies about San Diego Thursday.

David Delgado, 14, was chosen to take part in the Young Eagles program, which sets up youth with the opportunity to fly with pilots and experience the joys of flight. Pilot Sean D. Tucker took Delgado high above the ground in one of his Team Oracle planes for a taste of what it's like to be a pilot.

Tucker can be seen flying a different plane, the Oracle Challenger III, during the Miramar Air Show festivities running throughout the weekend.
