Around 350 families will receive two boxes of diapers each at the San Diego Armed Services YMCA in Murphy Canyon beginning at 9 a.m., according to Brittany Catton of the Armed Services YMCA. Another 250 recipients will get the donations at Camp Pendleton starting at noon, she said.

The diapers are in sizes 3, 4 and 5. Military or spouse identifications are required, Catton said.

YMCA branches at Fort Bragg and Camp Lejeune, N.C.; Twentynine Palms; Fort Campbell, Ky.; and Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., will also receive camo diapers.

Also getting donations are the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, nonprofit group For Families of Active Military, Fort Bragg Air Force Base and Coast Guard Foundation.

Aric Melzel of Kimberly-Clark said the donation was an appropriate gesture of appreciation for the sacrifices of military families before Memorial Day.
