Miami Marlins pitcher AJ Ramos attempts Broken Yolk 'iron man' challenge

SAN DIEGO - During his team's visit to San Diego last week, Miami Marlins pitcher A.J. Ramos attempted to tackle the Broken Yolk Cafe's "iron man" challenge, but failed.
According to the Broken Yolk's website, those willing to take on the challenge will have one hour to consume a 12-egg omelet that includes mushrooms, onions and American cheese. The omelet is smothered with chili and more cheese, and then it's served on a 15-inch pizza pan with a "generous pile" of home fries and two biscuits.
Past conquerors of the challenge, including "Man vs. Food" host Adam Richman, have their names and photos posted on the restaurant wall and receive a T-shirt.
Ramos told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, "When they brought it out it was on a damn pizza pan. I ate all the eggs. Usually I'll eat six or seven eggs normally when I'm working out or training, but 12 eggs was pretty beastly, especially when I got to the potatoes and they started making me full. My stomach was hurting the rest of the day."
About 400 people have completed the challenge.
By the way, the San Diego Padres swept Ramos' Marlins in their three-game series last week.
