Joshua Taylor, of San Diego, was ordered held on $50,000 bail. The 28-year-old was arrested Thursday at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.

According to a criminal complaint, agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations were able to download child pornography from a computer located at Taylor's residence via a commercially available file-sharing program.

On Dec. 21, 2011, a federal search warrant was executed at the residence where the pornography was located, authorities said.

At the time, Taylor was deployed aboard the USS Makin Island.

Agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service searched Taylor's quarters and located a computer and computer media with child pornography, according to court documents.

A future court hearing was set for June 14.
