SAN DIEGO - A man with a skull handkerchief covering his face held up a liquor store in the Paradise Hills area on Sunday, police said.

The suspect entered the Apollo Liquor Market at 2327 Reo Drive about 10:50 a.m., displayed a handgun and demanded cash, San Diego police Officer Dan Lasher said. He got away with an undisclosed amount, according to Lasher.

Police described the suspect as black man who was between 30 and 40 years old and about 5 feet 8 inches tall.

He was wearing all black clothing with a black hooded jacket and covered his face with a handkerchief with an image of a skull on it.
