Man With Knife Robs Vista Convenience Store

Incident Occurred At 7-Eleven In 200 Block Of Sycamore Drive Near University Drive

A Vista convenience store was robbed by a knife-wielding man who left with an undisclosed amount, officials said Saturday.

Deputies responded to a 7-Eleven store in the 200 block of Sycamore Drive, near University Drive at about 11:30 p.m. Friday, a sheriff's lieutenant said.

A store employee told City News Service the robber walked around the store as if he was going to buy something, then showed a knife and demanded cash.

Sheriff's officials described the suspect as a black man in his 40s with a medium build and bad teeth. He was wearing a dark gray or blue hooded sweatshirt, a hat and dark jeans and sneakers.
