Missing man with autism found safe

SANTEE, Calif. - A missing man with autism last seen on Monday has been found safe, authorities announced Wednesday.

Joseph Swett, 20, was last seen in a Santee motel room on Monday around 3 p.m., according to the San Diego Sheriff's Department.

Swett was in Santee with his mother and brother to attend a Christian college for two weeks. His mother and brother left the motel room located on the 10700 block of Woodside Avenue to get lunch and returned to find Swett missing, said the Sheriff's Department.

10News learned that Swett was found safe and is now back with his family.
