Man walking in San Carlos stabbed, robbed: 2 men seen fleeing scene

SAN DIEGO - A stabbing in a San Carlos-area neighborhood sent a man to a hospital Monday.
The victim walked into an auto-repair shop in the 7100 block of Park Ridge Boulevard shortly before 11:30 a.m. and told an employee he'd just been knifed in the abdomen during a confrontation with two other men a short distance to the east, at Jackson Drive and Navajo Road, according to San Diego police.
Medics took the wounded man to Sharp Memorial Hospital. His condition was not released.
The victim reported that the assailants, one of whom was dressed in a T-shirt and the other in a black hooded sweatshirt, fled the area in an older-model silver two-door car, possibly a Mitsubishi, SDPD Detective Gary Hassen said. Officers searched in vain for them by ground and aboard a police helicopter.
The motive for the attack was unclear, according to Hassen.
