SAN DIEGO - A man used a demand note to rob a downtown bank branch of an undetermined amount of cash, a police officer said Tuesday.
The robber handed the note to a teller at Union Bank at 530 B St. about 1 p.m. Monday, filled his pockets with the cash he received and fled on foot, San Diego police Officer Dan Lasher said.
No weapon was displayed, and no one was injured, Lasher said.
Police described the bandit as white, about 55, 5 feet 8 and 160 pounds, with gray hair and a beard. He was wearing a tan jacket and a red cap.
