SAN DIEGO - A man who claimed to have had a gun and explosives robbed a Pacific Beach bank Monday, San Diego police said.

According to police, the incident happened just after 2 p.m. at the Wells Fargo branch in the 1300 block of Garnet Avenue.

Police said the man, who was wearing a gray hoodie, appeared to be 5 feet 10 inches tall and in his late 40s, walked into the bank and handed a teller a demand note that said he had a gun and explosives, but it remains unclear if any weapons were seen

The teller gave the man money and he put it into a blue knapsack before fleeing, according to police.

No injuries were reported.
