The incident occurred in the 1500 block of Capalina at the El Dorado Mobile Home Park. The victim, who a neighbor identified as musician Glenn Scott, told authorities the incident began at about 5 p.m.

"The victim goes into the home to retrieve that [and the] suspect follows him in. He then produces a knife and tells the victim to cooperate. A second man walks in – armed with a handgun – and proceeds to tie the victim up."

A third man then came in and helped clear remove Scott's belongings.

Butterfield said the robbers took expensive instruments, musical equipment and electronic equipment. He said the men also took Scott's truck, which is described as a white 1993 Nissan pickup with a camper shell.

Scott was not injured in the incident.

Carmen Ramirez, who has lived at the mobile home park for 14 years, said she used to own a beauty salon in what she described as a rough neighborhood back east. She said what happened to Scott is worse than anything she saw back there.

"Nothing ever happened like this," she said. "This is very quiet… a very nice neighborhood. I've never seen anything like this."
