The incident occurred in the 7700 block of Goldcrest Lane near Skyline Drive.

Police said the family who lives in the home kicked out their relative, 49-year-old Andre Ford Sr., about a week ago. On Monday morning, he tried to come back.

When he was asked to leave, Ford became furious and poured gasoline around the house and then lit it on fire, police said.

The family managed to put out the flames before there was much damage. Family members told 10News they did not lose any belongings to the fire. No one was injured.

By the time police arrived, Ford was already gone. Ford's brother left in the back of a patrol car to try and help police find him.
