Man suspected of breaking into local salon: Surveillance video shows suspect's embarrassing mistake

SAN DIEGO - Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man suspected of breaking into a local salon and then making an embarrassing mistake on his way out.
The incident occurred last Wednesday at the Unite Salon in the 1400 block of 7th Avenue at about 3 a.m.
Investigators say the suspect used a pry tool to break one side of the glass front doors. Once inside the business, the suspect grabbed a cash box located at the reception front desk. The cash box contained an undisclosed amount of money.
As the suspect was leaving the business with the cash box, he tried to run through the unbroken side, hitting his head and bouncing backwards before leaving through the shattered door.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a medium height and build, as well as a shaved head and mustache. He was last seen wearing a light-colored shirt, a dark jacket, light shorts, tennis shoes and a backpack.
