Man stabbed in group attack at SD trolley station

SAN DIEGO - Two young men were "jumped" by nine men at a trolley station platform in downtown San Diego's Core-Columbia area Thursday night, leaving one of the victim's with several stab wounds.
The stabbing at 5th Avenue and C Street was reported at 10:37 p.m., according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford.
A 25-year-old man was stabbed twice in his back and once in his abdomen, Stafford said in a statement, adding none of the wounds were life-threatening. Also, a 23-year-old man sustained minor injuries, he said.
No one was in custody as of early today and the motive was unclear.
