SAN DIEGO -
A 21-year-old man was stabbed in the chest during a fight with two other men in the Gaslamp Quarter early Sunday, a police officer said.
The wounded man was taken to a hospital and officers arrested one of the alleged assailants after the fight broke out, shortly before 2 a.m. at Fifth Avenue and J Street, according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford.
The other assailant got away and was last seen running south on Fifth Avenue, Stafford said.
Police described him as a black man who was about 5 feet 8 inches tall with dreadlocks.
