A Chula Vista man who was stabbed during an altercation over missing property died in a hospital four days later, according to police and the Medical Examiner's Office.

Michael Thompson, 52, was pronounced dead at a hospital at 12:34 a.m. Saturday, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office, who listed the time of his injury as 7:35 p.m. Tuesday.Thompson was allegedly stabbed multiple times during an argument over missing property at 245 Shy Lane, according to Chula Vista police Lt. Roxana Kennedy.Juan Cabrera, 23, was arrested Friday, Kennedy said. He was jailed on suspicion of attempted murder and vehicle theft, according to jail records."We feel very confident that we have the individual responsible for the death," Kennedy said.Copyright Do you have more information about this story?
