SAN DIEGO - A man walked into a Mission Beach home, held an object that was believed to be a gun to the resident's head and then got away with a wallet and cell phone, San Diego police said Sunday.
The suspect entered the residence in the 800 block of Lido Court through an unlocked door about 8:40 p.m. Saturday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros. The man then put something up to the resident's head and demanded the victim's property, Delimitros said.
The robber ran off with a wallet and phone and the victim gave chase, but ultimately lost sight of the suspect, Delimitros said.
Police described the suspect as a white man in his 20s who is 5 feet 7 inches tall. He had a thin build and was wearing shorts and a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, police said.
