Man shot, injured in Spring Valley

SAN DIEGO - Deputies are investigating a shooting that left a man injured Tuesday night in Spring Valley.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department reports that at about 10:40 p.m. deputies responded to several 911 calls that shots had been fired in the 800 block of Grand Avenue.

As they were responding, they learned a 28-year-old shooting victim had been taken by car to Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa.

Officers went to the hospital and spoke to the victim. He was transferred to Sharp Memorial Hospital in Kearny Mesa, where he was treated and released.

Meanwhile, deputies searched the area and found a crime scene in the courtyard of an apartment complex at 760 Grand Avenue.

No arrests have been made and no details have been released on the circumstances of the shooting. Deputies are investigating.
