NATIONAL CITY, Calif. – Police say a man was shot in the face outside his home in National City at around midnight Wednesday.
According to National City police, the victim was returning home from the liquor store when he was confronted in the street and shot on East 23rd Street and I Avenue, near Olivewood Elementary School.
The victim’s family ran outside and called 911. He was rushed by ambulance to UC San Diego Medical Center in Hillcrest, police said.
The suspect remains at large. The condition of the victim was not confirmed.
