SAN DIEGO - A 43-year-old man was seriously injured early Monday when he crashed his motorized scooter in North Park, police said.
The man, who was not wearing a helmet, hit his head when he crashed his scooter at Upas and Utah streets shortly before 2 a.m., according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.
A female companion was riding on the back of the scooter but was not hurt, Delimitros said.
