CHULA VISTA, Calif. - Firefighters rescued a man from a storm drain in Chula Vista on Monday.
The incident occurred in the 800 block of Fourth Avenue just after 9 p.m.
The man told 10News he was trapped inside the storm drain for about 12 hours. He said he went into the drain because his home does not have air conditioning and it was hot. That is when he became stuck.
A neighbor heard him screaming and called for help. Firefighters arrived on scene and were able to quickly pull the man from the drain.
