Man rescued after Sunset Cliffs fall

SAN DIEGO - A 20-year-old man is at a local hospital after falling from Sunset Cliffs near Ladera Street early Monday.
The fall happened at around 2:15 a.m. Police said the man and a friend were walking in the area when he slipped and fell.
Lifeguards and police officers responded to the scene.
Rescuers had to climb down a beach 40 feet below the cliff to get to the seriously-injured man. He was airlifted to a local hospital and his condition is unknown.
