SAN DIEGO - Police were on the lookout Monday for a man who struck another man in the head with an aluminum baseball bat, an officer said.
The suspect went to the 46-year-old victim's door in the 800 block of Rosecrans Street near Kona Way shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday and asked for another man, then pulled the bat as well as a handgun, San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said.
The victim told the suspect to leave, at which point the suspect struck him with the bat, Delimitros said. Police did not consider the injury to be life-threatening.
The assailant then sped away in a silver Dodge Charger or Challenger with white license plates, Delimitros said.
Police described the suspect as black, 35 to 40 years old, and about 6 feet 3 inches with a muscular build. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, sunglasses and a white shirt.
