SAN DIEGO -

Authorities said a man led police on a high- speed chase near Southcrest Saturday night, which eventually led to a crash.

The San Diego Police Department said the pursuit began on South 38th and Hemlock streets when a Nissan Altima failed to pull over for officers and sped off.

A few minutes later the pursuit ended when the Altima crashed into three parked cars on T Street.

Police said the driver attempted to flee on foot but was found hiding in a nearby yard in a pool of blood.

He was transported to Paradise Valley Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

SDPD said he was charged with felony evading.

It is unknown if the vehicle was stolen.
