A 21-year-old man was shot early Saturday as he tried to wrangle a gun from the hands of a 31-year-old man who was enraged with loud party guests at his home, San Diego police said.

The suspect had been drinking and became angry at the loud revelers at the party in the 10200 block of Clamagoro Circle in Tierrasanta at about 3:50 a.m., according to San Diego police Sgt. Ray Battrick.Police said the suspect then armed himself with a handgun and two men were trying to calm him down. A 21-year-old man was shot in his shoulder while they were taking the gun from him, Battrick said.The shooting suspect was held on the ground until police arrived and arrested him, Battrick said.The victim was taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening wound, Battrick said.Copyright Do you have more information about this story?
