SAN DIEGO - A 20-year-old man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries early Thursday after he stepped in front of a San Diego police car while intoxicated and was struck in the Point Loma Heights area, police said.
The man was struck in the 4500 block of Nimitz Boulevard about 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.
He was walking southbound in a bike lane when he stepped into the path of the patrol car and was struck, Delimitros said in a statement.
