SAN DIEGO - A 70-year-old San Diego man crashed his motorcycle into a slower vehicle and was killed, the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office reported Saturday.
Ernest Robert Jensen was riding a BMW motorcycle on southbound state Route 163 just after 5 p.m. Friday, according to the Medical Examiner's Office.
He crashed the motorcycle into a slower vehicle as the freeway narrows and crests out of Mission Valley, near 6th Avenue.
Jensen had been wearing a helmet but was ejected from his ride, the Medical Examiner's Office reported.
He was taken just up the hill to Scripps Mercy Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival, at 5:32 p.m., the Medical Examiner's Office said.
