A man accused of repeatedly molesting a 16-year-old boy he met through MySpace.com must stand trial on eight felony charges, including oral copulation and sodomy on a child, a judge ruled Monday.

Jeffrey John McPherson, 42, will be arraigned on the charges Feb. 6.Four charges, including forgery, were dismissed following a preliminary hearing at the courthouse in El Cajon.Deputy District Attorney Heather Trocha said more charges will be added against the defendant at his next court hearing.The defendant was originally arrested in June 2010 on suspicion of sexually assaulting the teenage victim over a nine-month period. He was freed on bail and re-arrested last Feb. 15 after he failed to show for a scheduled court appearance.
