LAKESIDE, Calif. - A Lakeside man is recovering Wednesday after accidentally shooting himself.
A 911 dispatcher received a call from a woman on El Monte Road saying her boyfriend accidentally shot himself.
Deputies said they believe the victim, who appeared to be drunk, was playing with the gun when it accidentally fired. He was struck on the hand and thigh.
Deputies said the man's injuries were non-life threatening.
