Magnitude-3.5 earthquake rattles Pine Valley area

PINE VALLEY, Calif. - A magnitude-3.5 earthquake was reported Sunday morning centered 14 miles east-northeast of Pine Valley according to a San Diego County sheriff's lieutenant.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported the earthquake at 1:41 a.m., one kilometer below ground, with its epicenter 14 miles east-northeast of Pine Valley, 27 miles east of Alpine and 29 miles east-southeast of San Diego Country Estates.
There were no calls reporting damage in the area, said San Diego sheriff's Lt. Clayton Lisk.
