Local, state, federal offices closed Tuesday in observance of New Year's Day
Parking meters will also not be enforced

SAN DIEGO - Local, state and federal offices will be closed Tuesday for the New Year's holiday.
In the city of San Diego, libraries, recreation centers and pools will be closed. Also closed for the day will be the Mission Trails Regional Park Visitors Center and Tecolote Park Nature Center.
Outdoor skate parks throughout the city will remain open.
The Miramar Landfill will be shut down, and curbside trash pickup will be delayed one day for the rest of the week.
Parking meters will not be enforced.
San Diego County libraries and animal shelters will also be closed.
County-run campgrounds and day-use parks will remain open.
Both major local transit agencies, the Metropolitan Transit System and North County Transit District, report that they will operate their buses, trains and trolleys on a Sunday schedule.
