SAN DIEGO - A woman who bought a winning Mega Millions lottery ticket in Chula Vista was publicly identified Friday.
Aurora Aguirre of Chula Vista won $327,665 after matching five numbers but missing the mega number. The drawing took place on Christmas.
"That's really a gift, totally unexpected," said Aguirre, who purchased her ticket at a Vons store on Otay Lakes Road.
She said she didn't even check her ticket until New Year's Eve and was grateful at the amount of her prize, despite barely missing millions in the jackpot.
The winning numbers were 2, 48, 3, 18, and 34, with a mega number of 36.
