Victor Swircz and his soon-to-be-wife Laurie were having their rehearsal dinner at McP's Irish Pub and Grill in Coronado on Friday when they saw Prince Harry and his friends.

"I was like, 'Well, this is a pretty good opportunity for us to kind of just go over there,'" said Swirz. "We were going to get married tomorrow, so we could just go over there and not be that threatening."

Swircz said he asked Prince Harry if he could be in a picture with him and his wife-to-be. The prince declined that but Swircz had another idea.

"'Can we get a picture with your security guard?'" said Swircz. "And [Prince Harry] goes, 'Sure, no problem. I'll take it.' He grabbed my camera and he took the picture of me, Laurie and his security guard whose name was Mark."

Swircz said he was already happy because of his impending wedding but he was so excited to meet the prince that he went on Twitter and posted a tweet that read, "Seriously, I'm not joking. I just met Prince Harry and shook his hand at McP's in Coronado!"

McP's bar manager Ted Taylor was behind the bar on Friday night.

"A customer just told me that Prince Harry's here," said Taylor, who approached Harry's table once he was able to take a break. "I went up to him and said, '…Hi guys. How are you doing, Prince? Welcome here to McP's. My name is Ted. I'm the manager. If there's anything we can do to help you out, let me know.'"

Taylor said the group ordered burgers and beer and stayed about half an hour before leaving.

The prince was also reportedly seen at the Andaz Hotel in downtown San Diego over the weekend.

Prince Harry arrived in El Centro on Friday to learn how to fly an Apache helicopter.
