SAN DIEGO - It is lights, camera, action once again in San Diego.
A group called "Film Consortium San Diego"—which was founded by Jodi Cilley—is working to revive the local film industry.
“What we're trying to do and what we've done is bring together the community here in San Diego and mobilize them to produce and generate work from within San Diego and out," Cilley said.
Cilley said the group is different from the city of San Diego's Film Commission, which was shut down last year. If the Commission is revived, Cilley said it would complement the Consortium well.
The film consortium does not rely on any city money, mostly personal investments and venture capital.
