SAN DIEGO - A local family received a much-needed donation from a San Diego charity.
Passion 4 K.I.D.S., a 25-year-old nonprofit founded by Charles and Linda Van Kessler, donated a Toyota Camry to the Neely family this weekend.
The car will mean grandfather, James Neely, can drive himself to work and grandchildren, Jaya and Kierra, to school.
Jaya and Kierra, who were abandoned by their mother and have been raised by James, met the Van Kesslers a few years ago.
“I thank God for Charles and Linda," James said. "They have really been a big help to the kids."
