Evacuations For Friday, October 26:

The following areas remain evacuated:

  • Paradise Mountain/Skyline Ranch
  • Palomar Mountain, including the Highway 76 corridor from the Pala area to Highway 79
  • Pala Reservation
  • Pauma Reservation
  • La Jolla Reservation
  • Rancho Heights areas south of Lake Wohlford, including Bear Valley and Guejito Ranch areas.

    Evacuations For Thursday, October 25:

    LA JOLLA INDIAN RESERVATION - The Emergency Alert System (EAS) has been activated. Mandatory evacuations of Lake Henshaw, Mesa Grande, and La Jolla Indian Reservation reported. The EAS message advises that due to a fire from south and west, residents in the areas:

  • west of Hellhole Canyon
  • north of Palomar Mountain to Warner Springs
  • south of Bear Valley and Rancho Santa Ysabel and
  • east of Montezuma Valley

    These areas are under a mandatory evacuation notice. Please take the following route Route 79 to S-2 to S-22 to Borrego High School.

    LAWSON VALLEY, CARVEACRE - The communities of Lawson Valley and Carveacre have been ordered to evacuate. Residents can take shelter at Del Mar Fairgrounds or Faith Chapel at 9400 Campo Road in Spring Valley.

    RANCHO SANTA FE – Del Dios Highway and the community of Del Dios

    POTRERO – Highway 94 will remain closed west of Potrero. Tecate Border to remain closed until further notice.

    SAN DIEGO – La Terraza condominium complex at 10878 Poblado Road.

    JULIAN – Sheriff's Department advises people still cannot go back to Julian

    I-15 – Caltrans says the I-15 on and off ramps to West Bernardo Drive and Pomerado Road are both closed.

    Evacuations for Wednesday, October 24:

    Harris Fire Evacuations - Carve Acres Region includes:

  • North of Wilson Creek
  • South of Pearson Canyon
  • East of Kearchoffer Flat
  • West of Horsethief Canyon

    Lake Morena Village Region includes:

  • South of Interstate 8
  • North of Hauser Canyon
  • East of Lake Morena
  • West of Buckman Springs

    Lawson Valley Region includes:

  • South of Loveland Reservoir
  • North of the Community of Lyons Valley
  • East of Beaver Hollow
  • West of Kearchoffer Flats

    Japatul Valley Region includes:

  • North of Japatul Road
  • South of Bell Bluff
  • East of Middle Mountain
  • West of Horsethief Canyon

    Campo Region Includes:

  • South of Phelps Road
  • North of International Border
  • East of Forest Glen
  • West of La Posta Road

    BIRCH HILL - Mandatory evacuation Reverse 911 calls have been sent to 167 residents in Birch Hill near Palomar Mountain. Residents should go to the Temecula Community Recreation Center at 30875 Rancho Vista Road in Temecula.

    FALLBROOK – Reverse 911 was used to issue mandatory evacuations in the communities of Bonsall, San Luis Rey Heights and Winterwarm on the north side of Highway 76. Residents should use Highway 76 heading west away from the fires.

    PALOMAR MOUNTAIN - Mandatory Evacuations have been issued near Palomar Mountain in the North County. Approximately 167 households have been ordered out in Birch Hill. Officials say the Poomacha Fire, burning on the La Jolla Indian Reservation is now threatening that community. Residents are being advised to go to the Temecula Community Center on Rancho Vista Road.

    DE LUZ/NORTH CAMP PENDLETON – Mandatory evacuations have been issued for residents of unincorporated De Luz, on the northwest border of Camp Pendleton, are being evacuated. San Diego County emergency operations officials say people should use northbound De Luz/Murrieta Road or northbound Sandia Creek Drive and drive toward Riverside County. Denise Tyrrell of Metrolink says service at the San Juan Capistrano, Oceanside and San Clemente stations HAS BEEN SUSPENDED due to the roughly 6,000-acre Horno Fire burning at Camp Pendleton. Tyrrell says the Laguna Niguel and Mission Viejo stations are open.

    Evacuations for Tuesday, October 23:

    JULIAN – Sheriffs officials report the town of Julian has been evacuated. The town has no more power or water, and mandatory evacuations will be in effect through Thursday due to possibility of winds shifting back into town.

    EAGLE PEAK AND CUYAMACA – A mandatory evacuation notice has been issued for Cuyamaca, just north of State Route 79 and Eagle Peak in the Engineers Road area.

    ESCONDIDO – Evacuations have been ordered in Escondido from Via Rancho PKY North to Hamilton and west to Valley PKY. Evacuations are also issued for northeast Escondido in Mountain View north to Citrus, then up to Bear Valley PKY to Lake Wohlford.

    THE LA JOLLA INDIAN RESERVATION – A Mandatory Evacuation order has been issued for the La Jolla Indian Reservation near Palomar Mountain. A structure fire that spread to brush has burned approximately 150 acres so far. Several structures have burned in the area near SR 76. Area residents should evacuate to Harrah's Casino.

    WILDCAT CANYON & MUTH VALLEY SOUTH TO WILLOW RD – Reverse 911 calls were sent out at the request of Lakeside Fire at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday for all of Wildcat Canyon and Muth Valley south to Willow Road. Evacuations are mandatory and 3,780 calls were sent out. Evacuees are directed to Santana High School.

    FALLBROOK – All of Fallbrook has been ordered to evacuate. At least 100 structures have burned in that area. The Sheriff's Department reported at 3:04 a.m. Tuesday that the Fallbrook fire is moving east toward De Luz Road.

    CHULA VISTA - The Chula Vista Police Department has issued a mandatory evacuation order for the San Miguel Ranch neighborhood north and east of Mt. Miguel Road. South Bay evacuees can take shelter in the Casa Familiar Civic and Recreational Center at 212 East Park Ave. in San Ysidro. Casa Familiar can house 400 evacuees and has bilingual volunteers ready to assist both English- and Spanish-speaking evacuees. For more information, call (619) 428-1115.

    CHULA VISTA – The Chula Vista Police Department has issued a mandatory evacuation order for the Rolling Hills Ranch development, north of Proctor Valley Road and east of Mount Miguel Road, due to the advancing Harris Fire. Evacuees from the area are being directed to a shelter at Chula Vista High School, 820 Fourth Ave.

    FAIRBANKS RANCH - A mandatory evacuation has been ordered for 1,197 households in the Fairbanks Ranch community due to the Witch fire, according to the San Diego County Office of Emergency Services. Displaced residents are being asked to go to the Encinitas Senior Center, 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive or Carlsbad High School, 3557 Lancer Way.

    DEL MAR HEIGHTS AND CARMEL VALLEY - South of Del Dios Highway, west of Camino Del Sur, east of Interstate 15 and north of Highway 56.

    DEL MAR/SOLANA BEACH - -West of Black Mountain Road -South of Del Dios Highway -East of the Pacific Ocean -North of Highway 56 (mandatory) -South of Highway 56 to Sorrento Valley Road (voluntary)

    SOLANA BEACH - A voluntary evacuation is strongly recommended for the following areas within the City of Solana Beach: All areas east of Interstate 5 (I-5) Areas along the north border of the city, between I-5 and Highway 101

    RANCHO BENARDO - Please be advised that the mandatory evacuation of the Rancho Bernardo area remains in effect. If residents of that area have an urgent need to retrieve medications only that will be facilitated by the SDPD officers at the various traffic posts in the area. Individuals must be escorted by SDPD officers. This does not include retrieving personal items. Medications ONLY.

    FAIRBANKS RANCH - Mandatory evacuations have been ordered for about 1200 homes in Fairbanks Ranch.

    SAN MIGUEL RANCH MANDATORY EVACUATIONS - Mandatory evacuations have been issued for San Miguel Ranch near east H Street where it intersects with Mount Miguel Road in the South Bay.

    PALOMAR MOUNTAIN AND VALLEY CENTER – Reverse 911 is being used to issue evacuation orders to 924 Palomar Mountain and Valley Center households. Residents are advised to take shelter at the Palomar Observatory, 35899 Canfield Road. Mission Hills High School can take an additional 200 evacuees at 1 Mission Hills Court, San Marcos. Calvin Christian High School can take another 100 evacuees at 1868 N. Broadway, Escondido.

    HARMONY GROVE - Reverse 911 has been made for evacuation orders to 1,095 Harmony Grove households.

    JULIAN - Mandatory evacuations have been ordered.

    LA JOLLA RESERVATION MANDATORY EVACUATIONS - A mandatory evacuation notice has been issued as of 1:20 p.m. for people in the La Jolla Reservation area. People should go to Borrego Springs. People SHOULD NOT go to the Palomar Mountain Evacuation center. This fire, which was spotted across Highway 76 and established on the south face of Palomar Mountain at the base of Palomar Mountain, is now being referred to as the "POOMACHO FIRE" by CalFire. It is currently 20,000+ acres.
