SAN DIEGO - A wild police chase in Lemon Grove Friday night, that was caught on video, ended in an arrest.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said the pursuit began after deputies tried to stop a white car for a routine traffic stop. However, the driver wouldn’t pull over and led deputies on a high-speed pursuit onto State Route 94 and then onto SR-125.

A spike strip was deployed and area traffic on the freeways was stopped.

Deputies said the driver eventually stopped the car and got out, but proceeded to run away on the freeway, before jumping off an embankment heading towards a side street.

Investigators said deputies used a Taser to subdue the man and he was taken into custody.

The driver’s name has not been released.
