Valley View Casino Will Host Preseason Game

The Los Angeles Lakers announced Tuesday they will play a preseason game at the Valley View Casino Center Oct. 25 against the Sacramento Kings.

The game will be the Lakers' first in San Diego under coach Mike Brown, a 1992 University of San Diego graduate.The Lakers have been scheduled to play a preseason game in San Diego each year since 1999, but two have been canceled, including one planned for Oct. 25, 2011 against the Los Angeles Clippers, which fell victim to the league's lockout of its players.The 2006 game was canceled because of the wildfires burning throughout San Diego County. The Lakers made a $100,000 donation to the American Red Cross to assist with relief efforts.Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday at ticketmaster.com or by phone at (800) 4-NBA-TIX.Copyright Do you have more information about this story?
