Kaiser Permanente pharmacist strike postponed

SAN DIEGO - A strike that was set to begin Monday involving 1,400 Southern California pharmacists with Kaiser Permanente has been postponed.

The Guild For Professional Pharmacists announced this morning that the strike was delayed until June 2 after overnight talks between the two sides yielded some progress.

Local pharmacists were set to picket in front of the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Grantville at 7 a.m.

A major sticking point in the talks is pensions. The GFPP is requesting that pensions that were lost three years ago be reinstated.
