Flight diverted due to anti-ice valve maintenance

SAN DIEGO - A Japan Airlines flight that left Lindbergh Field for Tokyo on Wednesday afternoon and was later diverted back to San Diego due to a maintenance issue departed later that evening.
JAL Flight 065 departed San Diego International Airport shortly before 1:30 p.m. and safely returned about two hours later, according to the airline.
The reason for the turnaround was a need to service an anti-ice valve on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, JAL spokeswoman Carol Anderson said.
The flight took departed from Lindbergh Field at about 6:40 p.m., headed for Japan.
