SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The San Diego Unified School District is investigating an incident that happened at Scripps Ranch High School on Wednesday.
Students tell 10News there was a fight on campus - between a cross-country student and a coach from another sports team at the school.
We were told by students, who wish to remain anonymous, that the runner was injured in the fight. At this time, the names of the student and coach have not been released.
The high school principal says the safety of students is a top priority and they're taking this accusation very seriously.
The investigation is ongoing.
