2 hurt in Kearny Mesa crash: San Diego police say two vehicle involved in crash on Ruffner Street

Injured taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital

SAN DIEGO - At least two people were injured Thursday after a two-vehicle crash on a Kearny Mesa street.

San Diego police said the crash happened just before 12:30 p.m. in the 4700 block of Ruffner Street and involved a Ford Explorer and Chevrolet Cavalier.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, but police said at least two occupants in the Cavalier suffered head injuries and were taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital. The conditions of the injured remain unknown.

It was not disclosed if anyone in the Explorer was hurt.

Police closed a portion of Ruffner Street due to the investigation and cleanup.
